Public Service Centers — most of the queue is one question
People do not queue at a public office because the work is slow. They queue because they brought the wrong document, or they are at the wrong counter, or nobody told them the form has two versions. MijA meets them at the door, works out what they actually came for, and sends them to the right window with the right paper in hand.
What goes wrong on this floor
- A resident reaches the front of the queue and is turned away for a missing document, then rejoins the same queue an hour later.
- A resident who moved here recently cannot read the signage, and the counter staff are not interpreters.
- Public bodies are the one deployer who genuinely cannot put citizen records into a foreign cloud, which rules out most conversational AI before the procurement even starts.
How MijA actually responds
Why this industry needs on-premise
Digital sovereignty is not a preference for a public body, it is usually a condition of the contract. MijA is delivered as hardware and software you own and operate, with no outbound connection required. There is no vendor account holding your residents' conversations, no cross-border transfer to justify under GDPR Chapter V, and no dependency on a service that could change its terms next quarter.
The EU AI Act matters more here than anywhere else. From 2 August 2026, public sector deployers of high-risk systems must carry out a fundamental rights impact assessment under Article 27, must keep logs, and must inform affected people. MijA is built so those obligations are answerable from your own records rather than a vendor's. She also introduces herself as an AI at the start of every conversation, which is what Article 50 asks for, and she does not identify people or infer emotional state.
How it is deployed
One MijA unit at the main entrance, before the ticket machine, so the sorting happens before the queue forms. Connected only to your own counter and forms information. No internet connection is required for normal operation. Additional units go at the civil affairs floor or the foreign resident desk.
